We are happy to say that we have arrived safely after a very long trip. We are about to set out to begin exploring the city. We are staying at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Santiago. We ended up switching flights and landed in Peru for a few hours before flying to Chile. The folk art at the airport was fun to see but surprisely similar to stuff we see in Mazatlan from the Indians in Oaxaca, Mexico.
We were touched when, if you can believe it, Mom and Dad got up at 5:00 a.m. to say farewell to us at Pangborn in Wenatchee. How exciting is it to wave goodbye through a glass window? We felt loved. Don't worry about us, we are in a gorgeous 5 star hotel wanting for nothing!
